Description

OkChorale Chorus / Vibrato Plugin (AUv3) OkChorale is an audio effect plugin that can run standalone, or in any AU compatible host application such as Logic or GarageBand. Overview OkChorale is a stereo chorus / vibrato effect inspired by classic analog stomp boxes. While not intended to be a model or replica of a specific unit, the processing and features embrace a bygone era of simpler times! Both chorus and vibrato effects are achieved by modulating the time of a delayed version of the dry signal. Typically, these delay times are very short, between 5-20ms. Parameters Active - Toggles the effect On or Off. Rate - Varies the modulation LFO frequency between 0.1-10.0 Hz. Typically, chorus sounds better with slow modulation, and vibrato is more noticeable and natural with higher rates. Depth - Sets the amount of delay modulation, as a percentage of the maximum modulation delay time. Mode - Toggles between Chorus and Vibrato mode. In Vibrato mode, the base delay time is very short and no dry signal is present in the plugin's output. In Chorus mode, the delay time is longer, and the dry signal is mixed with the delayed version. When used in stereo, the left and right channel's modulation is out of phase to create a wide stereo effect. The modulation wave shape is also different, depending on the mode. In Vibrato mode, a sine wave is used. In Chorus mode, a slightly rounded, and more "analog-like" triangle wave is used. Despite the basic design and lack of features, we hope you agree that OkChorale can still sound pretty OK! If the name sounds familiar, OkChorale is a version of the OK CHORALE module developed for Voltage Modular by Waverley Instruments.
